Absolutely wild how extremely far right rhetoric on Covid/disabled people, that liberals and leftists rightly attacked MAGA for in 2020, has now been mainstreamed to the point that leftists/liberals are further right on public health than most MAGA people were in 2020. Julia outlines it well here

Watching this play out in real time has been mindboggling. At some point, liberals and progressives are going to have to reckon with this if we have any hope of making progress.

the construction of Cop City hinged on a compliant media that repeated false police claims and framing, private funders who see expanded policing as a safeguard for their capital, and state actors willing to serve those interests without question. none of that is unique to Atlanta!
