Look, I agree with you that they should. But I have no illusions about about the state of our military... its just not going to happen, no matter how we feel about it. At best, we can hope that if Trump gives an illegal order, they refuse to follow it. That's the most we can realistically hope for.

I was also in the Army and take no joy saying all this. Chain of command is born-and-bred into every new recruit... be they lower enlisted or a shiny new lieutenant.

There may be a few who're willing to stand against what's going on... but most will absolutely follow orders.
