I took two hollow cinder blocks and bought a 10 foot steel pipe. Drilled holes in the top of the pipe and bolted it to the rafters. And, placed the bottom of the pipe in the middle of the blocks. The poured concrete in the hole and it’s not going anywhere.

394 won't need to go to Target Center once the new Twolves owners get their arena near the Farmer's Market. Light rail rolls through. Main tunnel goes under Oak Grove sparing St. Mark's & HAUMC. The tunnel west of 94 is just park space and cheaper to dig.

I was able to make it much more expensive.
Highways pop-up on the other side of Glenwood. More tunnels. Add flyover from 394W to 94W and untangle that mess. Later, we end 394 at 94 so it never makes it downtown and becomes a highline park.

Yep. This is a horrible idea. MLS would do better to be its own league rather than trying to be a European equivalent.

Bore a giant tunnel under all of this for a smoother, more gradual curve of I94. Reconnect the neighborhoods. Then, you can reimagine surface transportation with roundabouts, more green space, more public art, etc.

The problem is the sharp angle that forces traffic to slow down at the Lowry Hill Tunnel. The exits/on-ramps cause additional traffic jams on the surface of Lowry Hill trying to maintain on-ramps/exits.

I've been seeing all these re-imagining I94 in Minneapolis schemas, so I thought I'd do my own. Maybe it's a $100 billion project. I don't know. I'm not a civil engineer. I just draw pictures. Here's how I think you fix this section of I94, if you want to maintain a freeway through here.
