The film gives us shells in the shape of the FF and asks us to fill in the holes with our knowledge of the characters. Ben Grimm does nothing. It is an empty film without a vision.
Perhaps a director's cut would help, but everyone seems to think the film is fine and doesn't need one, which is wrong.

Seeing the response to Fantastic Four: First Steps is a surreal experience for me.
