I give peanut and sunflower seed offerings to my Stellar's jays as peace offerings. When I'm gardening/building my bonsai bench, which is near their trees, they yack at me, so I tell them I will get more peanuts in a few minutes. Then they just watch LOL. They are the class clowns of birds 😁

I dont think anyone should have to have my experiences to see that Kirk meant to be racist, homophobic, and misogynistic. Advocating for any of those is not civility no matter how it's dressed up.

Literally look at any Media Matters story tagged with his name and you'll get his disgusting comments in full context. Miss me with this "I find that [his views] have been inaccurately or incompletely reported," you ghoul.

Was it his civility which drove my colleagues into hiding for teaching at a university? Was it civility when TPUSA spawned death threats against me and many others? Was it civility when he said other people’s children should be murdered rather than have gun safety?

As a CSA and physical/emotional child abuse survivor, I learned at 3yrs old never to trust tone of voice. As a minimal speaking autistic, I learned to watch for warning signs of being taken advantage of. As a Hispanic child, I could spot subtle signs of racism, sexism, and more in what people said.

As someone who spent many hours listening to Kirk’s show on AM radio, I would say that he made Rush Limbaugh seem like Walter Cronkite by comparison, in terms of rhetorical tone and empirical rigor. The subtext of every show was “You don’t hate the left enough.”
