A ramshackle garden with a neat fence. There are pots with lavender, pelargoniums, roses and nasturtium growing, and a pebbly flowerbed with geranium and NZ flax, and a very small pear tree. There’s a trailing green hosepipe in the foreground, and grassy patio.

I’m sitting in the garden with an early morning cuppa, listening to the robins and the jackdaws.

I got my MMR last year at 53. I had definitely had mumps, one rubella inoculation as a teen, but couldn’t remember ever having had measles. It was a surprisingly painless experience.

The winter duvets are on! No more jumpers to bed for a while at least.

Footloose. I went to see it at the cinema, it was sold out, so went to see Purple Rain instead, which eventually lead to marrying Mr W many years later.

Lucky. By two thirds in I was willing Jack to die.

I really really wish I’d tapped the “I don’t have a mobile number” button to see what it said. Rather cruelly, I found my driving licence about an hour after paying for a new one.

Damn! I have the opposite issue of being short (which these days is better catered for). When I did all-weather child wrangling, layers worked well for me (and I don’t have a good tolerance for plastic fibres bc I sweat perfusely). Good luck with your hunt!
