When I took Russian literature, the class thought it was a tightly written novel. The professor told us that we should not expect that in other Dostoyevsky novels.

Basically, roon is trying to legitimize AI stories by appealing to anything but stories (In this case, space noise and a hypothetical library of tomes of a specific length made up of all combinations of letters).
Roon doesn't seem to care if AI generated stories ARE stories.
This is similar to the meme argument for God that goes something like, "God exists because look at the pretty trees!" The support has nothing to do with the conclusion. Finding beauty or meaning in something not related to the conclusion is nonsense.
07.10.2025 11:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's a oneโsided argument for the validity of AI generated stories.
We have only roon to provide the viewpoint of Ted Chiang and some pretty terrible attempts to sound poetic or profound to support roon's side.
There just isn't anything of substance presented to be interested in
In elementary school, my class went on an extended field trip to San Diego, where we stayed at a YMCA campground.
Now, I did have fun. But they did not have everything for young men to enjoy and, due to my social awkwardness, I did not hang out with all the boys.
Their cheese enchiladas sucked.
I have never seen Titanic and at this point, I have no feelings of obligation to do so.
I've also never seen Godfather Part 2 and only saw Godfather within the past few years (within my late 30s)
One should consider the question of why the US was not on the Watchlist to begin with.

Simplified: the requirements are for Isreal to exist and for the world to be in conflict with them, with the exception of the US because ' murica.

Like, it's good if you have so little engagement with Christianity in general and evangelism in particular that you only have a vague idea of what eschatological views they hold.
