That’s what I was trying to get at - if the artist has displayed ability to do things ”correctly” and then gone against that, it’s seen as a choice, otherwise it’s a limitation/mistake.

This is probably even more true now that the dead internet theory is in full swing, and paid reviews are on every aggregate site under the sun.

Hot take: If it’s an inconsistency that seems accidental, it’s a flaw.
If it’s a deliberate choice on behalf of the artist that goes against common sense ”rules” of anatomy, then it’s style and expression.

Hahah! It is certainly a recurring theme with Fry, but I think he makes some very interesting and salient points regarding how that heritage plays into our different outlooks on humour and life in general

The American Office is very much a precursor to Parks and Rec. As it goes on, it has more in common with that than it does with the British Office, in my opinion.

Swede here, and I could never quite manage the UK Office. I see why people like it, and understand how good it is, but the cringiness and general mood just isn’t for me.
That said, the US version absolutely worth a watch. S1’s a softer version of the UK Office, and then it really starts to shine.
