I don’t know this guy, and maybe he’s great. But this is a truly awful take. I’m depressed because I’m a single dad who works all the time and still don’t know how I’m going to pay my energy bill this month, not because there’s too many types of ketchup to choose from in the store.

This analysis seems off. I think there are likely 5 million better explanations than this one, including the soul-crushing lack of autonomy most people have over their lives or the capitalist advertising and entertainment industries or, or, or…

Something many students don’t understand is that when you use ChatGPT it gives you the same response it gave to everyone else. So I get 5 nearly identical papers, each one thinking their work is creative, that they’ve done the innovative thing to make their work stand out, but it’s all the same

Agreed 💯 . I think we share some same concerns, though maybe from slightly different angles. Coalition building is messy, but what matters is shared focus on something important. I’m eager to join with every anti-Trump republican, liberal, progressive, and democratic socialist doing something.

I don’t think voters should be blamed for dems failure to meet the moment. I voted blue, but respect/support is earned. Too many dems are just taking up dem seats or, worse, enabling Trump

I’ve been proud of those who have gone to ICE detention centers, El Salvador, march at protests, file law suits, raise legislation, intervene with ICE abductions, filibuster on the congress floor, etc. I will gladly support those few who have done something.

There’s no “lessons to teach.” There’s maybe a dozen dems who have done anything meaningful as the US builds actual concentration camps. We are told “vote blue no matter who,” then they cower away, wagging fingers on social media and going on book tours. They share guilt for capitulating to fascism.

It’s that time of year when we celebrate the dozens of congressional democrats who have failed at, well, basically everything, start texting for campaign donations.

Nope, with extra Nope Sauce. I’ll donate to a primary challenger, though.
