I know it doesn't solve anything you're dealing with, but I just wanted to say, in terms of being a real artist, you've been one of my biggest art inspirations for years and are what I think of when I think of being a "real" artist. I hope one day you can have a job that lets you do what you love :(

I got into back when stampede came out because I saw the trailer and fell in LOVE with Vash, so seeing him in your style I gasped out loud in joy during my pathfinder session djsjdkd

Sorry for super long rant but this argument annoys me so much. It's like, this annoying strawman fallacy against anyone who doesn't love every part of an adaptation ever

theories online. But if you criticize that and how it detracts from the story we wanted an accessible modern version of, it's all "why do you want the exact same game, it doesn't need to be the exact same." It can be different but it better be better then. But it's not

understands it! So much of the game is fleshing out smaller sections of the original. I love those changes! Those are different, but they're ADAPTATION. But the time loop? It's distracting from the main story and adds nothing interesting. It feels like a lazy way to stir up-

heart and core of the original, it should feel like it respects it and wants to understand it. People also say this about ff7 remake being different and it's like. The time loop sucks. There's a ton of story additions that are great! They expand on the original in a way that feels like it-

And whenever you criticize changes for being less interesting (which makes them feel lazy btw, like they couldn't be bothered to actually take the time and care to ADAPT the original) people go "are you stupid, it's supposed to be different" it's supposed to be an ADAPTATION it should have the-

original, and should ensure any changes make it better. Like, the DMC show. There are many changes that don't feel as interesting, which feel like it abandons things they could have just worked into the show and would have provided important additions to the themes.

I hate when people brush off people criticizing changes in an adaptation by going "it's not supposed to be the same, the whole point is it's different!!!!" Like, yeah okay, but it should still adapt the major themes of the original, should make changes with respect to what was important to the-

So I have really mixed feelings on the devil may cry show but god DAMN they portrayed a very very sexy man in Dante. I'm in love with him

Also I did give 2 a shot and played it for a bit but I got impatient to get to 3

So I've been playing devil may cry in preparation for the show (beat DMC 1, watched a cutscene compilation of 2, and am currently playing 3) and I'm watching the show with my partner and we keep just shouting "HES SO HOT HES SO COOL HES SO HOT HES SO COOL" I NEED Dante carnally
