Mostly small stations in rural areas that are news deserts; residents rely on them for local news, emergency warnings (radio works even when cell service doesn't). Mostly in Alaska or serving tribal communities. There are stations in CO, WV, NM, and AZ. One station lost 97% of its budget.

The last class I ever took in college was History of Jazz and Rock! So so great.

Intro to Chimp Behavior. Filled a science credit and I got to spend the semester hanging out at the zoo observing our local troupe; visited the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute; and came very close to spending a summer in Zambia at Chimfunshi. Changed my life!

Instead I’ve been using “anti-vax influencers” which distinguishes them from normal folk and focuses not on what they do to vaccines, but what they do to people.

I’ve more recently started using “vaccine alarmists” and “vaccine alarmism.”

Knocked over and smashed a brand new, very large bottle of olive oil, so if you need me, I’ll be cleaning every surface of my kitchen for the next seven years. 😭 It is EVERYWHERE.

After reading a bunch of sonnets, I had my summer students write their own sonnet. So far I have received sonnets about:

—that chair you have that you pile your laundry on
