if elected president i promise to be just as corrupt as our current leadership, perhaps even moreso. but I will also reinvest the entire defense and policing budgets into creating what i call The Health Cigarette

there is a problem with datacenters. they have a huge footprint. they use a huge amount of electricity. much of the electricity they use is eating up renewable capacity and forcing us to keep natgas plants alive.

agricultural water usage in the county is 3.5 orders of magnitude larger.

One of the key tells that a tiny artist account is a scammer is the bio full of shit like "making dreams into reality"

Real artists say shitl like "i don't know what I'm doing" or "please don't look at me"

A hydrofoil ferry gliding swiftly through the water, a frothy white wake churning behind it. At high speeds the wing-like structure of the hydrofoils lifts the boat out of the water, reducing resistance and drag. The inventor Alexander Graham Bell designed a hydrofoil so fast that in 1919 it set a world record that held for decades. Bellโ€™s hydrofoil flew across the water, an engineering marvel. Nowadays, such sights are unthinkable. No watercraft goes faster than the wind allows. Even those are rare. Piers and pilings in every abandoned port are strewn with wrecked boats that will sail no more. Like Alexander Graham Bellโ€™s other inventions, they are ruins, forsaken evidence of some distant, great, and squandered civilization.

This is a panorama assembled from numerous photographs made through the windows of the Apollo 12 Lunar Module 'Intrepid' shortly after landing on November 19, 1969. After the successful first landing by Apollo 11 in July the second mission refined methods to make precision landings. They succeeded, and landed within walking distance to the derelict probe Surveyor 3 which had touched down on April 20 1967.
The scenery shows the saturated cratered surface typical of the Lunar lava plains, or 'Maria', with impact craters of all size ranges covering the pulverized surface. This is a landscape of eternity, with only the locations of the innumerable craters changing over time as new ones gradually erase the older ones.
The shadow of the LM stretches toward the horizon, with a bright 'Heiligenschein' glow centered on the antisolar point. This brightening is caused by the lack of visible cast shadows behind the illuminated irregular surfaces, making a 'zero phase' point, and enhanced by the presence of tiny glass beads scattered in the upper surface layer, or 'regolith'.
Just as this appears around where the shadow of the observer would be, one can see a comparable effect when walking in the early morning across a wide field of grass covered with dew. Near the shadow of your head a brightening will appear as the many round drops refract the light so a lot of it returns in roughly the direction it came from. Road markers and signs also use paint with imbedded glass beads to reflect light back at autos.

The view from from the windows of the Apollo 12 Lunar Module just after landing 56 years ago. Apollo 12 was a great mission although the loss of the color TV camera at the beginning of the first EVA was a blow to live network coverage. In due time we saw the color and B&W photos the crew returned.

The scissor lift begins to retract for repositioning. Bip's avatar is flopped over the tops of the comic panels, looking frustrated. Bip: I don't have much time to wait, I've got a rapidly approaching appointment with the launch loop. Can you do it off the clock? Talita switches radio channels and turns to write something on a physical logbook with a pen attached to its ring binding. Adam dismounts the scissor lift behind her. SFX: clk Talita: Tod's gonna ask questions if I pull that too often. Adam hops up the radio tower foundation and begins to scale the ladder up to the tower's ring platforms. Bip: Is there a tool I can borrow..? Talita: Hm... actually, I might be able to replace the claws with something moreโ€” She notices Adam out of the corner of her eye. Talita: โ€“ADAM! GET DOWN FROM THERE! Bip's avatar pokes down in front of the comic panel with an apologetic sweat drop. Bip: Wrong radio channel. Talita: God fucking dammit!

To her right, Yao looks curiously at her bare antlers while putting on a pair of prosthetics resembling deer antlers.

A digital drawing of one of those drawing tutorials that says 'don't do this, do this.'
The drawing is of an almost naked middle-aged man doing a flying kick. The 'Don't do this' one has a bunch of areas circled and a cross under it. The 'Do this' one is exactly the same but without the circles and a tick instead of a cross.
The text reads 'Needlessly adding red circles will ruin your art' and a smaller bit of text at the bottom reads 'Bonus tip! Add a tick under all your art so people think you did it right.'

On March 31, 2005, just minutes after the Cassini spacecraft's closest approach to Titan during the Titan (T-4) Flyby, Cassini viewed Saturn peeking through Titan's thick atmosphere.

Saturn's rings are seen here casting dark, dramatic shadows across the planet's northern disk (upper left).

This composite is made of images that were taken by the Cassini spacecraft's camera system, the Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS) on March 31, 2005 and received on Earth April 1, 2005. Cassini was approximately 1,200,000 km away from Saturn and 7,000 km away from Titan. The images were taken using red, green, and blue filters.

Transcript Talita stands on the edge of the dollhouse cutaway, looking incredulously at the enormous luminous Bip avatar. It leans over, considering her with a hand on its chin. Bip: Isn't the water pressure down here deadly? SFX: ping! Talita's eyes open. She is lying disoriented in her bed on Dirtball, awakened by a chime from her tablet on the bedside dresser. Spread over the top of her usual comforter is the antler velvet blanket from the Runaway. She blearily tugs on her reading glasses and picks up her tablet to squint at the source of the notification.

Talita has a direct message exchange with Mel. Mel: Just got a message from the medbay. Clayton slipped a disc, he's off work until he gets better. Talita: Oh no! That sucks. I hope he feels better soon Mel: You and your temps will have to work harder to make up for it. No distractions, ok? ;) Talita: Of course Later in the day, Talita is testing a breaker box in the junkyard with a multimeter, while Dominic and Phoebe peer over her shoulders. Bip's avatar pokes its head up from behind the panel, looking down curiously. Bip: You around? Talita: Not now, Bip. Bip leans out over the panel to look at her grumpy face. Bip: When will you be available? Talita scowls. Talita: Later. Bip hangs off the edge of the panel, nonchalantly swinging their legs over the fourth wall and blocking some of the view with their avatar's body. Bip: Well, I've processed about 100 tons of heavy water.

In the pit with the Runaway, a frontloader positioned in front of a row of frames containing hydrogen gas tanks holds its manipulator arms as if it were a human with its hands on its hips. Bip: But the solenoids on the transport tanks have these caps with an awkwardly positioned guard ring. I can't grip them with the frontloader claw fingers, and the worms aren't strong enough. One of the frontloader claws uselessly pinches the guard ring. SFX: click click Talita: So cut the guards off. Bip: I thought we were trying to avoid hydrogen tank explosions. Talita rolls her eyes. Talita: Well, then, wait. I don't have time this week to run errands on the clock. She looks up from the electrical box on the ground in front of her and switches radio channels. SFX: clk Talita: Alright, none of those antennae are causing the issue. Let's move the lift and test the next array. She is speaking up to Adam and Yao, who are on the fully extended platform of a large scissor lift next to a short radio tower covered in dozens of mismatched radio antennae. Yao pulls cables from the side of the antenna they're next too, while Adam slouches against the platform railing, doing nothing. In the regolith around the base of the radio tower are the tracks left behind from the scissor lift repeatedly being extended, retracted, moved, parked, and extended again many times.
