What do YOU want the Health Minister to know about eating disorders?

I’m meeting Stephen Kinnock MP about the need for more research into ED. But it’s also a chance to share more. I’ve heard from experts by experience. But, if you could have the Health Minister hear one thing, what would it be?

Petition: Retain legal right to assessment and support in education for children with SEND Support in education is a vital legal right of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We ask the government to commit to maintaining the existing law, so that vulnerable children with SEND can access education and achieve their potential.

Just two weeks until the petition to protect the rights of children with special educational needs and disabilities closes on 9th October. Will you help us to get as many signatures as possible before it’s handed in at Downing Street?

I find it really interesting that US autism politics has turned into "it's a terrible epidemic and must be eradicated" at the same time as UK (etc) autism politics has turned into "it's mostly overdiagnosed and must be doubted"

Of course the end result is the same: no need to figure out support 🙃

Protect the law for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities The legal rights of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are under threat. We must act now.

Getting an EHCP for my child was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, such was the resistance and law-breaking from my Local Authority. But without an EHCP, they simply would not have been able to attend school.
