This is one of those "little kid sells lemonade to pay for mom's cancer drugs" news stories. Yes, it's good to see someone trying to help, rising to the occasion, but the situation is obscenely dire & inhumane in the first place, only being mitigated by the work of people who should be our leaders.

We have both a prison overpopulation problem AND pet under-adoption/over-breeding problem. At the very minimum, given that we're already paying expenses for both, we could at least combine these. Make so many lives less miserable.

I know there are small pockets that already do this, but apart from us having zero empathy for those incarcerated, I don't get why we don't have more inmates with pets. It's been proven again and again how healthy, rehabilitating, and healing it is to care for animals + the pets get loving families.

This is particularly baffling because one of the primary reasons to be using Sony's Crunchyroll instead of "general" video streaming sites is that Crunchyroll *does* have the better, properly typeset subtitles. If Crunchyroll stops providing those, what is the point of using Crunchyroll at all?

I've learned, especially in the last year, to be more forgiving of myself. There are times where I'll fall short, be unable to do something, or just not be where I want to be--but I am doing my best, and have done the best I could do at the time.
