Bridget says: Our tenancy of ‘La Candide’ will end soon after 2 years. We’ve met so many of you and we hope to see more before we close the doors on 21 Dec. The owner plans to renovate the interior and then we think a brasserie will take over, but no official reopening date yet.

Today I met the lovely Stephen Yardley, aka Lifeline’s pianist and forger, Max!

He winked at me after signing my copy of Andy’s book, and gave me a hearty pat on the back after having our photo taken together.

It was great to be able to tell him how much I love Secret Army.

It was marvellous to meet AJ too, having spoken to them several times online!
We discussed OTD spreadsheets and, yes, my T-shirt is for The Happiness Patrol today.
Their latest episode’s just out and features tragedy but also (I think) a cameo from Jon Pertwee and some very judgmental chocolates.

After the London Film Fair, the wonderful @alexwilcock.bsky.social met me for a cuppa in central London!

Alex was the guest on our episode on S1E14, Good Friday.

So great to meet him in person!

It was great to meet podcast listeners Mark and Paul today at The London Film Fair! 👋

I also met a lovely chap called Gary (not pictured).

I showed a photo of Hetty to my friend and she was so struck by the likeness as well despite having not heard of her before! 😂

Visited the Museum of Brands today and spotted a 1940s cover of Woman’s Own magazine with an illustration that looks just like Hetty Baynes!! (Yvonne in Secret Army.)

Waiting for my train to London and a chartered steam train turned up! Had no idea this was a thing.

Sadly not my ride but enjoyed the Secret Army railway vibes. Hope all the train enthusiasts have a nice trip!

It’s been so nice to get back driving again and I’ve even managed a few day trips to National Trust properties and the beach. Physio will continue into the new year but can do about 90% of daily tasks now. 🥳
