One of those absolutely fun things about having arthritis your entire life, is remembering to manage yourself more on days when there's an excessive heat index day (today was 105*) & then factoring in that you have a manual labor job... I won't be moving these joints for the next day or so. Fun.

I've watched several film
screeners & the UNTIL DAWN movie (the wife really wanted to watch it) over the weekend and it seems like 2025 might be the year of exploding bodies in films.

Not sure what that means, but I might have had my fill for a few months.

You sweet and lucky soul. I very much remember this movie. This, Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure & Little Nemo: Adventures In Slumberland are films that haunted my mind and felt as if they were made by people on a metric ton of hallucinogenics.

For the prize round, there was a Coors guzzling game, because if there's one thing that defeats a werewolf....it's a silver bullet!

Glad this week is finally in a breathable state, as it's been a mess. Wife went in for major surgery on Tues, which involved being at the hospital for 12 hours. Wed she was in pain throughout & led to a 14 hour ER visit on Thurs & now she's doing better, able to rest easily & actually start recovery

What films will be shown? Who knows but it will be amazing.

It's only June and it feels as if this year has been 3 bad ones smashed together. Just too many overwhelmingly distraught things compiling on top of each other. Hate admitting but that's just where things are now. I just want to be able to breathe easily for one day.

I worry that recommendation algorithms may be getting too good.

Been sitting with THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME for around 3 weeks & think I'm ready to call it my favorite Wes Anderson film. There's something unexpected about it that just connected with how this year has gone for me & was really really what I needed in a film.
