How can all we be this connected and still so uninformed?

Btw I am not going to blindly defend LJG, someone who once called me a fuckface on Twitter for no reason lol. (We’ve since reconciled but haven’t talked in years.) But the journalist in me just can’t stop thinking about weird this whole thing is.

She’s also posted literally zero receipts of this alleged abuse (or LJG’s offers to pay her to leave the house, etc etc etc) even though she says she has documentation of everything. Like the more I go back and read everything it just doesn’t pass the smell test.

There’s also a lot of inconsistencies in all her Threads posts. Like she insinuates that her kid is at home with her, but she isn’t — as LJG said, the kid was with her dad as planned since the band was supposed to be on tour. She also uses wordplay to make people *think* LJG’s ex invited her over.

Obviously LJG is better known by the press at large so Paris has framed the story as “frail little wife of big bad rock star being emotionally abused” and it’s getting eaten up by the blogs. But if she dragged LJG on TikTok, it would come off as punching down dramatically—which is why she hasn’t.

No one asked for my take on the Laura Jane Grace / Paris thing but here you go anyway:

Paris has a MASSIVE following on TikTok, like 600k followers. Why use a platform like Threads to go at LJG publicly? My guess: she looks more sympathetic on that platform since LJG has more well known there.
