JK Rowling. Only one I can think of that is of the same level.

Anchovies are one of those things that you get what you pay for. The cheap ones they toss on pizzas are just strips of fishy salt, but good quality anchovies are glorious; one of the best tapas dishes I ever had were lightly charcoal grilled white anchovy filets just mashed into fresh bread.

Classic El Paso box hard shell tacos.

I'm stunned the guy who played the asshole in 'Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death'.

"TAKE THE UNIVERSE AND GRIND IT DOWN TO THE FINEST POWDER AND SIEVE IT THROUGH THE FINEST SIEVE AND THEN SHOW ME ONE ATOM OF JUSTICE, ONE MOLECULE OF MERCY. AND YET YOU ACT AS IF THERE IS SOME IDEAL ORDER IN THE WORLD, AS IF THERE IS SOME... SOME RIGHTNESS IN THE UNIVERSE BY WHICH IT MAY BE JUDGED.

I'm going to argue that. They are his venue for dealing with metaphysical ideas and I think they do it remarkably well in distilling philosophy to the masses. That said, it has the least well rounded characters.

I like matcha done very specifically. Smeared on everything, enh.

I would argue against the trepan. It's messy as an at-home operation.

If you need a non-jokey support, please let me know.

(1/11) If you live in NY, youโ€™ve probably started seeing a new warning: โ€œTHIS PRICE WAS SET BY AN ALGORITHM USING YOUR PERSONAL DATA.โ€ This mandatory disclosure went into effect late last year, and itโ€™s the first attempt by a US state to grapple with a new generation of surveillance pricing.

It's worse than you imagine. They are truly Discordians. Look for those who have taken a bite of the Kallisti apple.

There's a whole wide world out there for them. They could take the car to Welland or even London. The world is their pickerel fry sandwich.

Even funnier is I think I might have found the song from a quote in a WoD book.

Shriekback 'Nemesis' just came on the jukebox 30 seconds before I read this. That was fucking eerie.

One of the first documented uses of garlic as a sterilizing agent. I mean, they used it for everything else medical too, but it worked for that.

I think the social culture is too fragmented for it. There are too many media lines entangled with the fact that all former media is available at a click. I know an 18 year old whose favourite TV show is 'Taxi' right now. It's impossible to unify things now.

That was before I owned a legal copy. Star Wars? Hundreds of times. Killed a beta tape. It was the transition period between the importance of media to the availability of media.

I actually had a thought about the difference between the physical media age and the internet age. The whole 'how many times have you seen this movie' trope. If you owned 50 movies, you watched them all a lot. Or if you taped of a movie network. I watched UHF dozens of times.

14.02.2026 04:47 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I think these are generationally skewed when as kids, we had a VHS and there was at most one movie cable network. I saw dozens of movies ten or more times because it was put on a movie or watch Three's Company reruns.
