My father was born and raised in Pennsylvania, in a family of coal miners. Their main house was built near an abandoned coal shaft, and they had an outhouse that was situated over a pit that, er... emptied into that old mine. When visiting as a kid, using it at night was the scariest thing ever!😱👻🕷️😂

Love it, and have lived here for years. But I came to Japan from Hawaiʻi so I had a head start culturally, so to speak. Live in a part of Tokyo that's very green, with 3 train stations all a 5–10-min. walk away. Though space is limited I've grown tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, etc. in a tiny garden.😂

All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.
