craft department oscars never go to the "best" its always the popular movies who do the "most" like period pieces and costumes, or creature movies and make up, and this movie did "a lot" with sound design and is loved so yeah its gonna win sound

its one of those movies where as soon as it starts you're like "OMG HOW HAS NOBODY THOUGHT OF THIS" and then it just delivers all the way through

I loved this movie from like 5 min in first watch that day, and have rewatched a bunch, but will always have that same connection as you do if you see something dope at a festival before it blows up, like "I knew that movie before it was cool!" hipster bullshit

Love this movie and have a personally indulgent connection-- in college was in a class that watched unreleased/about to release movies in a 300+ theater. this movie had no distribution, they played/tested it on us with rows of execs in back, we reacted so positively it got distribution shortly after

Did you ever see this tv show? I found out during early covid it was filmed at a college friend's high school so I wanted to watch to dunk on him with other mutuals but once I started watching I was like... "I never wanna talk about this"
