As a coda, I will say I think Bluesky's design is generally solid at resolving the "normal" kind of harassment. That blocking someone OBLITERATES them from your TL and you from theirs is good.

It's also vulnerable to more dedicated bad actors willing to put in basically any effort.

Bad, that.

And look, I'm not a code person, I don't know how that stuff works or how fixable any of it is, but as someone on the sociological side of how human behavior works on the internet who is working in T&S right now, these are critical flaws that would benefit from more communication if not remediation.

I do think there are some basic ideas with Bluesky and how it works that are generally very good, but it also seems like the staff are very aware of some core, foundational flaws (see: bad faith usage of moderation lists) that potentially have no solution because they're baked into the structure.
