That BC Greens Instagram post is pretty outrageousβit effectively calls Emily Lowan a liar & insists their member verification process is fine. Then, days later the party is forced (probably feeling under scrutiny by a lot of media attention) to add yet ANOTHER method for members to verify. #bcpoli

The @bcgreens.bsky.social are trying to limit the impact of @emilylowan.bsky.social's excellent organizing, like the BCNDP did to @anjaliappadurai.bsky.social. Whether this is incompetence or malice, the Greens need to rectify this, ASAP, or face irrelevance.

preparing my thinkpiece on how a city elected a mayor who promised to shake things up and talked about vibes and swagger but voters seemed to tired of him and progressives fell in love with an inexperienced firebrand who pushed for a rent freeze while opponents attacked him for his stance on Israel

My friends and I keep talking about how the stuff you're going to end up doing to help, if you're serious about helping, is not going to look heroic or cool. 99.9% of the work is tiny and boring and all the main characters are gonna have to reckon with that.
