There have been conversations ongoing since summer where Greens and COPE have both advocated for the idea of some sort of "progressive primary" to consider getting behind or out of the way of a unity mayor candidate. Grounded in clear rational analysis, not partisanship, I am supportive of the idea.

I do not know the record — number of speakers aren’t automatically recorded in minutes, though there were a number of motions in the Stewart era that got close to 200.

But this means a vote on the preliminary budget likely won’t happen for a week or two.

That BC Greens Instagram post is pretty outrageous—it effectively calls Emily Lowan a liar & insists their member verification process is fine. Then, days later the party is forced (probably feeling under scrutiny by a lot of media attention) to add yet ANOTHER method for members to verify. #bcpoli

The @bcgreens.bsky.social are trying to limit the impact of @emilylowan.bsky.social's excellent organizing, like the BCNDP did to @anjaliappadurai.bsky.social. Whether this is incompetence or malice, the Greens need to rectify this, ASAP, or face irrelevance.
