Meanwhile, skin exposures to cold or warm temperatures did not seem to trigger acclimation. Specifically, we briefly and repeatedly dipped fish in a cold or warm water bath ๐Ÿ›, and there were no clear signs of an acclimation response afterwards.

We found that circulating hormones likely control the process of adjusting the metabolism to the cold โ˜ We showed this by collecting plasma from cold acclimated donors, injecting it into recipients reared at a regular temperature ๐Ÿ’‰, whose metabolism then appeared to become cold acclimated ๐Ÿคฏ

We hope that the HusMorph app will make machine learning and automated landmarking accessible to all biologists. You don't need any background in coding to get started! We tested the app on photos of fishes, but it should perform well on other organisms too ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ€๐ŸŒ
