I don't know how Dems manage to fail so hard in this instance. I can maybe even understand losing the presidency, I know that there are some idiots and I do mean idiots, that like Trump. But the fact that he won the popular vote stings me to my core. How have we slid so far to the right?

In some ways this was the worst possible outcome. Not only did the red team win the presidency, they also won the Senate, and it seems like they're on track to win the house. They're going to have all three branches under their control.
