22.11.2025 20:24 β π 198 π 130 π¬ 1 π 0Most recently played a Marine so, like, same. Was glad other people were rolling the other ones though lol
16.11.2025 22:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Most of the skills are there for the "figuring out what's going on" and "making a plan" stages of the horror story, how well you survive is *mostly* down to using those two stages to reduce the number of rolls in the "running from monsters" stage to an absolute minimum. Old school that way.
16.11.2025 22:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It definitely works on the philosophy that if you're rolling dice in a life-or-death situation it's because you're probably about to die
16.11.2025 22:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0It might be bad for my cognition that every conspiracy theory I believe in turns out correct. I need to be disproven about something to maintain a balance of the humors
13.11.2025 10:18 β π 56 π 7 π¬ 4 π 0so glad the child sexual abuse panic was squarely pointed at folks like me by the people actually doing it & the public was like βyeah, seems rightβfreaks did it. not the men with all the money & fighting to keep child marriage legal, the women that are legal to kill in 30 states if youβre nervous.β

07.11.2025 19:59 β π 3752 π 698 π¬ 43 π 17It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.
03.11.2025 21:14 β π 11500 π 2796 π¬ 471 π 333the thing about "still gotta win elections" is that sounds all realpolitik until you realize that avoidance lets the other guys define you in your absence and "moderating" communicates that their narrative about you is correct.

21.10.2025 16:43 β π 3446 π 892 π¬ 22 π 58if a stranger asks to borrow something, and it would not ruin you to replace it, i think you should always let them
in my experience, they almost always return it. you made their day at zero cost
but if they donβt bring it back, they needed it more than you, and you helped
thats a win win to me
If the answer is anything less than "everyone affected by those decisions", it's not a democracy.
17.10.2025 16:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This doesn't really make sense. Lawful positive change is perfectly possible under autocracy, the autocrat just has to decide to change things for the better, autocratically.
They usually don't choose to do this, but that's not the point. Democracy is about who makes those decisions.
So many folks throwing βradical anarchistsβ under the bus as talking points to show theyβre the good guys, while they love the projects we do to support communities.
17.10.2025 01:47 β π 347 π 69 π¬ 5 π 2Few would ever love "reactionary" but there's a deeper refusal to accept any label because that would be conceding they are obviously just another ideological faction or political camp that can be critiqued, instead of all just the One Noble Truthteller whose opinions are simply objective reality.

09.10.2025 14:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Get a load of this guy, saying "Bernie bro" like it's a relevant political descriptor in 2025
08.10.2025 00:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It looks like the US has two major parties, one of which whole-heartedly embraces and is pushing forward with fascism, and the other exists to capture all the opposition and hold them to one side until the fascism bit is done, and then complain about it but not actually fix it. Is that how it works?
07.10.2025 09:08 β π 80 π 22 π¬ 2 π 1(This also means she thinks the democrats are "strong" because they stand up to their damn pesky constituents)
07.10.2025 08:21 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This tracks when you know she thinks the purpose of a political party is to discipline its base. In her mind the Republican Party is "weak" because it gives its voters the things they want instead of telling them to like what they're given. The fact those things are terrible is irrelevant to her.
07.10.2025 08:17 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0SO easy that it seems kinda weird that they'd rather suffer the slings and arrows of all us terrible leftists than ever, ever utter those simple words, right?
Almost as if they fully intend to do those things again if they regain power and don't want to be on the record saying otherwise
But hey, good news, these terrible lefty attacks are defusable! Here, I'll demonstrate for any congressfolk who might be reading:
"I realize now that that was a mistake and I will not do it in the future"
Seems easy right?
So "The border was a mess" doesn't sound like the same rhetoric, and democrats keep acting to enable fascism when they're in power because leftists are just so mean to them for enabling fascism. Got it. Cool worldview, no flaws.
06.10.2025 15:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Like do you just not think it's important for people with power to show good judgement in matters that affect thousands or millions of lives? Or, failing that, to own their mistakes? Has that belief led to good outcomes? Do you forsee it leading to good outcomes in the future?
06.10.2025 08:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Because the same people who made bad choices yesterday (that were OBVIOUSLY going to lead us to this place) are going to ask for power and permission to make equally bad choices tomorrow. Enabling them to do so is bad. Why is that confusing to you?
06.10.2025 08:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0fascinating that "no, the computer is not alive" and "yes, it's questionable to gleefully say anti-computer phrases modeled after racial slurs" are two thoughts people are struggling to reconcile
