Like everything else people's pensions are at risk from climate change. Fund managers can protect their beneficiaries by taking it seriously. But many aren't. My report for @sierramagazine.bsky.social

Laura Helmuth's impact on Scientific American & science journalism is immeasurable. She demonstrated how a major legacy publication could be a moral one: rigorous reporting on the climate crisis & untangling how science is political, such as explaining why trans kids deserve gender-affirming care

βThere's no outrunning climate change,β Roser says. βIt's a global phenomenon. And, you know, I guess it was our turn.β
It's hard to say with most of it missing and I may be totally wrong, because I'm not very good at IDs, but my first guess is crane fly

I'm a little confused about the use of the term corpuscle. Thought it usually refers to blood cells. Nerve was already a widely used term by this time.

Found something really cool in my data today. This will probably be the last thing I do in my PhD.
As excited as I am to venture out into science writing world once I finish my PhD, I will definitely miss this feelingπ§ͺ
