She concludes in the next two panels that we are all on a Titanic, just one that is sinking slower and every artist who makes a great work is providing a tuneful backdrop to a cold journey that must inevitably turn downwards and adds "from which we should also include that bad art brought into the world is not merely ugly, but immoral." The man silently ponders this, and then asks "so you are saying all my 'that's what she said' jokes - " to which the woman should "are an affront to god!"

Part 1/3 of a 6-panel SMBC comic update. In the first panel, two lovers are gazing into each other's eyes, with a heart shape in the middle. The narration box reads : "Every time I fell in love with someone, I gave him my heart." The following panel shows the same heart shape, gradually cut down into smaller sections of the hearts, with the full heart as a "1", the sections are 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8. The narration reads : "Every time love fell apart, I came away with half of what was left."

Part 2/3 of a 6-panel SMBC comic update. In the 3rd panel, the heart itself is split into various unmarked sections with the color of each section slightly changing to darker and then lighter. The narration reads : "Such that each new relationship was the victim of the last one's demise." In the next two panels, the man asks "so I get..." and the woman hands him a heart shape Valentines card in response, with the card saying "I love you with 1/2¹⁴ of my heart.

Part 3/3 of a 6-panel SMBC comic update. In the last panel, a narration box says "make your own!" with an example Valentines heart saying "I love you with 1/2- of my heart!"
