And I'd like to acknowledge all the outstanding Humanities researchers at ANU and other institutions who worked so hard on applications, and were not funded this round. There is so much excellent scholarship being undertaken across the academy, and I know how very fortunate I am.

Many, many thanks to the ARC for this opportunity and to all my fantastic supporters: Bec Payne and her amazing team in the Research Office, all my excellent colleagues in Classics & SLLL & CASS, my generous CASS mentor Frank Bongiorno, and my wife Meaghan (for everything!)

I'm very honoured to have received an ARC Future Fellowship to explore 'Why Monarchy Endures'. I know how incredibly lucky I am to receive this grant, and I plan to use my position to support and empower as many HDRs and ECRs as I can.
