No; that's why I asked the question. It's a common misconception that Sanders-voting progressive types are the Dem base. But they're sometime Dem voters & thus not the base. The Dem base is educated, mostly-urban professionals, & African-Americans, especially women. The Dems are a center-left party.

If they skipped 2024, one of the two highest-turnout elections ever, they're not base voters.

What does "progressive districts" mean? Districts have voting tendencies (e.g. "D+30," "R+20") but that doesn't necessarily translate to "progressive." Many D+25 or more districts have moderate Dem Representatives: e.g. Richie Torres, Wesley Bell, Ro Khanna, Lucy McBath or...Hakeem Jeffries.

Don't blame Biden's Gaza policy for Harris' loss. What if Harris had broken with Biden on Gaza? Election polls can't tell us the true reasons for people's voting choices.
