If you also like being bummed out by historical events, give it a read!

My recovery team is hard at work today

That being said, I just unpacked the little take-home bag they sent me with only to find a bottle of Dasani water.
Egregious, I say to the unnamed surgical center!
Making art makes me feel better.
But to make art I have to feel better.
What is this nonsense.
While it wasn't in my original plans to be going out for surgery to start my year, I'm grateful that I'm being given a chance to truly embrace this season of rest during my healing process.
Hoping to catch glimpses of many more moments of peaceful beauty like this one in the coming weeks.
Winter is my favorite time of year for a lot of reasons, but hiking is definitely high on the list.
