Kidical Mass September is in the books. We had 16 riders (parents, kids and friends) join us on our monthly, family friendly, no drop ride which ended with snacks and socializing (the kids also had fun on the playground at either end of this ride).

As Hamilton’s first Bicycle Mayor, launching Kidical Mass was a statement: the future of our streets must belong to everyone - especially the next generation.

Along the way, we’ve built partnerships ( @cyclehamilton.bsky.social, Daily School Route), rallied local businesses, and even had councillors ride with us, promote us, and talk about us at City Hall.

We’ve gone from one small ride in Sept 2024 to monthly events drawing families from across Hamilton. Parents tell us: “My child learned to ride just to join.” That’s powerful.

Kidical Mass isn’t just “cute rides with kids.” It’s proof that when families feel safe, they choose bikes. It’s community, mobility, freedom and joy.
