Every week we'll let them know the amount they helped raise! When they realize more protesters = more funds, either:

Protesters stop showing up, meaning clinic patients can walk into their appointments without harassment.

OR

Protesters will still show up and help us raise funds for abortion!

We're heading finishing the second week of 40 Days for CAF. For the next 4 weeks, we'll count the anti-abortion protestors outside of clinics in North and South Carolina. Each protester who shows up to harass patients will add to the running total we're raising to help fund abortion services.

There was endless testimony about God but we finally got one for calling abortion seekers practitioners of Satanic Rituals. +1 to the testimony: Theocracy has no place in policy!

Of course, the folks bringing the bibles to the statehouse are encouraged by the bill, meanwhile the South Carolinians opposing the bill so far are emphasizing that SB 323 will leave women, children and the state of South Carolina in shambles.

September 24th - November 2nd, we will track donations to this campaign, and CAF will share the results. We hope that knowing their presence results in funding for abortion and will discourage them, and if they continue to come out to clinics, they will be funding abortions!

How do we fight back? The core mechanism is simple: you have the opportunity to Pledge a Protestor (or make a one-time donation!) to ensure that even if anti-choice protestors show up outside of clinics, their very presence will be funding abortion care.

For the past eight years, we at Carolina Abortion Fund have run 40 Days for CAF, an opportunity to show up for abortion access and also spotlight and counter the harm that anti-abortion harassers cause to clinics and patients. Protestors are an unfortunate reality for many clinics.

We need to hold up our communities and support small and local businesses when we can, especially Black- owned businesses, because we vote, show love and shift power with our dollars every day.

Black August may be coming to an end, but supporting Black community members is a year round practice for us around here. In honor of this, we're spotlighting a few Black-owned businesses and Black artists in the Carolinas. We know and will continue to shout that we keep us safe.
