Cambodian never experience stability like Thailand. (And we are not really a stable nation ourselves) It is hard to hold any meaningful meeting with Cambodian leaderships.

Thailand was in a very strong position with many connections and resources. It was almost a miracle we got out of Colonism, WW II, and Vietnam War still mostly functional. But Cambodia did not. The nation suffered genocide, political instability and dictatorship.

Yes, I see it as heart-breaking that Thai armed force to tear through a civilian community. Another victim of war.
But I don't know how that could be resolved in any other way. Especially with Cambodian's smear campaign against Thais lately.

According to The Franco-Siamese Treaty of 1907 that The Cambodian reference to keep The Preah Vihear temple. And The community had expanded since.

It seems that both Thai and Cambodian government have a very different where their territory ends. This is, in fact, the source of all of these conflicts. Of course, The Cambodian Government claim this patch of land is within their territory. But this is internationally considered Thai territory.

"Thai border" and "war" in quotation mark because actually determining true boarder in Southeast Asia region is its own can of worm, a scar left from the age of Colonist. The Franco-Siamese Treaty of 1907 to be exact.

These Cambodian citizens legally and under UNHCR migrated within The "Thai boarder" in the year 1977 to escape The 1979 - 1988 civil war. It is considered a part of The Vietnam War.
However, they do not leave when the "war" is over.

They are building a wall between Thai-Cambodia boarder. This topic was falsely spread around as Cambodian armed force invading Thai territory and building permanent housing and community. And the situation is very complex.

As a hobby artist who devotes waaay too many hours to an economically-unviable past-time, I have to take my victories where I can. So seeing my drawings in an exhibition and genuinely feeling that they belonged there (quality-wise) was a fantastic experience that I'll treasure for a long time.
