📢 BREAKING: The Dept. of Ed has halted both the October & March 2025 RIFs, according to a recent legal declaration.

The agency confirmed that all actions related to the RIFs have been paused while the court considers the scope of the preliminary injunction.

‘Problems with everything.’ Cuts to the federal Department of Education are hitting Mass. colleges. - The Boston Globe Local universities rely on the agency in order to disburse financial aid disbursement, create new programs, or merge with other institutions. Now, they're scrambling.
