i’ve asked for the GBA games on switch for years so i’m glad it’s finally happened in some form but again, please keep going with this and bring the other GBA games over (along with the GB and DS ones)

thank you nintendo for telling me absolutely nothing here, it’s not like i was curious to know if this will run at 1080p in handheld when played on switch 2 or if it’ll just run at the original resolution lol

my take of FRLG switch:

- i like this approach more than if it was on NSO, slightly better way of preserving these games despite it being digital only
- $20 is cheaper than i would have expected even if i would prefer it to be $5-$10
- don’t make this a one time thing, bring the other games over

I've tried this game a few times over the years. First on Xbox 360, then on Xbox One, and then again on PC a few years back. Each time I just could never get into it but this time I decided to give it one last shot and somehow, it finally clicked. I don't like it as much as Minecraft and I never will but man, this is still really fun, especially with a group of friends.

yeah there’s always the cheaper $25 cardboard one but having the option to play the games normally in handheld and docked mode when you don’t want to use the headset would be nice

Despite the remake being one of my favorite games of all time, I never fully played through the original until now tbh While there are things I like in the remake more and vice versa, I think both are equally great in my eyes. Easily one of the greatest games of all time. (Even if I might have a deep attachment towards the remake and will probably always say I like that one more lol) I love you RE2. <3

4) Resident Evil 2 (1998)

Sorry guys, fake Claire Redfield fan here. I never finished this game fully until now lmao But seriously though, glad to finally have played through it all! It's got some questionable design decisions throughout but overall I enjoyed my time with it. Hopefully that remake is real because I think one could improve a lot of the flaws it has and add more to some of its concepts.

3) Resident Evil Code: Veronica X

I had to go through this one in preparation for Requiem being connected to this so I played this one with some friends. It's definitely ahead of it's time in the way that it's an online multiplayer focused game before it was fully popular and I can really respect what it tries to do but god I don't think I ever see myself revisiting this one. Despite it being built around working for single and multiplayer, it somehow doesn't work well for either. A lack of any kind of checkpoints in the scenarios also really hurts this game because these levels can be between 40 minutes to an hour and if you screw up, it's back to the start and it can be exhausting. Just a slog of a game all around lmao

2) Resident Evil Outbreak

Yeah, it's as good as everyone says it is. I should have played it earlier honestly, it's a love letter to all sorts of RPGs. There's some jank in there and I wish there was an option for a more forgiving parry while still being on normal difficulty (though it's probably a skill issue lol) but it is insane just how amazing this is, especially with it being the dev's first ever game.
