Won't lie. I'm looking forward to the Internet and Social Media at large perishing shortly in the wake of whatever comes along to replace it. Really liked the Internet of the late 90s early 2000s. These days the online landscape is just the cable TV I cancelled twenty years ago.

When I wrote the 8th book in my Sci-fi series, I touched on the crossover between zealous Christianity and artificial intelligence. I went to what was a batshit place to write what that might look like, both as a caution to others, and also to frame what technocracy cult behavior would look like. 😐

The complete inversion of morals on the right is not surprising but it's still shocking. Imagine being on the side of intentionally starving children.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you have friends struggling through the shutdown, consider inviting them over for a family dinner this week. Make too much. Insist they take leftovers home. Some folks can't say they need help out loud but will appreciate the kindness.
