You might assume that Lizard Island is pristine, but it's not immune from the effects of litter. Unfortunately it was all too easy and fast to collect this haul.

Ultimately open source still needs to be paid for. Otherwise we see great things die in the arse because there is no sustainable funding. The silicon valley start up model of free or super cheap products / services doesnβt do any favours - it builds a culture where we donβt want to pay for things.
23.03.2025 20:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There is no such thing as free - someone always pays. I also think that the principles of reciprocity are powerful so we can contribute in one area but take advantage from another depending on the situation.
23.03.2025 20:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Super interesting topic. VCs will largely close their minds to open source as there is no protectable IP. But thatβs shortsighted imo. Impact investors may take a diff view. From a consumer POV I think we need to be more responsible for paying / contributing when we can.

π Matrice 4 Enterprise vs. Mavic 3 Enterprise β Which one wins for drone mapping?
π¨ Bottom line: If youβre choosing between the M3E and M4E, the decision comes down to cost vs. capability. We break it all down in our latest blog.

Four images showing fresh graves in cemeteries near the Zamzam refugee camp. The left column is two synthetic aperture radar images, which look like grainy black and white photos. On the right are two very high resolution true-color satellite images. Some graves are visible in both synthetic aperture radar and true-color imagery, others are more easily identified in one or the other. The two types combined help provide a more accurate picture of the total number of graves.
Important example showing how synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and optical satellite data are complementary. Here are pairs of images used by Reuters to document gravesites in Sudanβs famine-stricken Zamzam camp.
