Watched "Islands"[2025], good little thriller with Sam Riley as tennis teacher attracted to wife (Stacy Martin) of couple he meets on a menacingly windy Fuerteventura. Husband subsequently goes missing and that's that.

Watched "Unrelated"[2017] debut movie of Joanna Hogg also features a young Tom Hiddlestone playing the unrequited love interest of a middle-aged woman on holiday in Tuscany. Summer breaks can teach harsh lessons, too.

Watched "Savage State", a French Western you say? Also notable is the fact the ensemble is moving east to leave Civil War-era USA. Slow-moving but packs a lot in, maybe too much. Certain characters like Kate Moran and her gang of cool-looking burlap masked henchmen deserved more time. V enjoyable.

What a team! Henson's magic is unquestionable but how lucky to have been paired up with Kermit, who has this intangible amazing star quality. You can't take your eyes off of him.

Ian McShane can do no wrong, Fuerteventura looks great, but a little more script needed here

Watched "Sirât"[2025], yeah, this is what the kids call a vibe. Script and a coherent story take a back seat to some great cinematography, a really unsettling electronic score and a couple of shocking scenes that really jolt you out of the vibe you were just getting accustomed to. Sergi López rules.
