Holiday cabins threaten Surrey woodland A woodland in Surrey that is home to rare breeding species such as Eurasian Goshawk and Hawfinch is under threat from the proposed construction of holiday cabins. Netherlands, an 88-ha site near Guildford, is an area of unspoilt woodland that hosts an array of breeding birds. Off-lead dogs threatening nesting birds at Suffolk reserve, says ranger Ground-nesting birds including Ringed Plovers at Landguard Nature Reserve in Suffolk are being disturbed by dogs off leads, threatening their survival. Ranger Leonie Washington has urged owners to follow signage and keep dogs under control. Repeated disturbances cause nest failures, forcing birds to expend vital energy and jeopardising breeding success throughout the season.

Ground-nesting birds at Landguard NR are under threat due to dogs roaming off their leads, a ranger has warned:

Every time I post about the astronomical numbers (many, many billions) of wildlife annually killed by cats, someone replies with

"MY cat doesn't do that".

The evidence is crystal clear: many cats are exterminators, and the ONLY way to be sure yours isn't is by keeping it indoors, or not at all.

If a dead buzzard is found & an x-ray reveals evidence of shot, then it's a confirmed shooting, not a suspected shooting as N Yorks Police portrayed it.
