P&P has walks to town with window shopping, and references to purchases of hats and trim, but no scenes in stores. There's a reunion of characters in Persuasion because certain of them have come to Bath explicitly for shopping, but again, no store scenes.

I am fascinated with the women grouping up together at a singles event.

The *players* bring the creativity. I'm just there to remember the rules and look pretty.

We grow some fruit and veg in our urban backyard and every year I mutter "pay farm workers whatever they want" as I deal with trying to make the good plants yield while keeping the bad plants at bay.

The rules are pretty light, which makes it a nice one shot game. You don't need much more than explaining the rules and the use of questions to determine what you add to a die roll. You can explain conditions when (if) someone actually gets one.

Gorgeous! I love the effect of double knitting but all that k1p1 takes forever for me.

Someone recently reminded me of Pasión de las Pasiones by @blg.bsky.social. I forgot what a lovely game it is. Going to run a one shot of it tomorrow.

There's also delayed effect. You succeed in stealth-ing now, but leave behind clues that increase your Heat or whatever.

Some systems also allow for non-physical damage, so it could be so close a call that your nerves are completely shot.

I like to whisper "Shhhh!" while I do it.
