Husband wakes up and discovers there's just enough raspberry chocolate coffee left to make himself a pot: "Aw, she left me the last of the flavored coffee!"

Me getting up at my normal time hours after my husband left for work: "That SOB took the last of the raspberry chocolate coffee!"😭🤣

The great toe nail painting dilemma: touch it to see if it's dry (enough) potentially ruining a nail, or just sit here longer with Milo refusing to come closer because of the smell.

It's so damn hard to get my recommended protein goal when I can't eat dairy, I don't like much meat, have to mind my saturated fat & salt, and can only stomach so much beans and lentils and tofu. I plan to try adding seitan, too. At least I'm good on fiber - yay whole grains and vegetables!

I've been trying to get past my anxiety over getting molds taken at my dentist for a new mouth guard, only to get there and find out it's now a 3D scanner thingy. A lot has changed since I got my mouth guard over 10 years ago...

When you buy a set of nifty little cleaning brushes last winter to clean out the window and sliding door tracks and vents in the spring, but end up cleaning them without the nifty new brushes because you couldn't find them since because you actually put them away with other cleaning tools #adhdbrain

The three beasts have been nearly fighting over the "new" window perch that they've moatlybignored for the past 6 months. Guess I'll invest in another tonreplace the old rickety one they're now ignoring... 🐈‍⬛️🐈🐈‍⬛️

The worst part was I wanted to keep going, but everything else is a big project that I didn't want to start so late in the day.

Finally dug into my stack of little projects in my sewing room. Replaced the button that broke on a pair of jeans, took the annoyingly tight elastic out of the hem of some pj pants, took the bulky uncomfortable ties off a jean skirt, and turned 6 annoyingly small dish towels into 16 new dish cloths.

"Keep yourself warm by overheating the human" practice this morning. These two are prepared for the end of summer. Kitty #3 (aka the burrowing land orca) was burrowed under the duvet scrunched at the foot of the bed, and was quite miffed when I flipped the blanket off of him.

I couldn't stop laughing at how the shadows made Milo's face look 😆

Today, I realized I sould make sure I had everything I needed for my friend's son's wedding (dress, jewelry, gift, card...) next month. Got my dress cleaned, ordered new jewelry... Then it suddenly sank in that I'm attending as a guest of the MOTHER OF THE GROOM. Fuck. I feel old.

My neighborhood Buy Nothing group is awesome. Someone posted that they were looking for plastic safety eyes to repair a stuffed animal and like a dozen people posted they had some, with some offering to do the repair for them if they needed help.

My husband: "Poor Jasper, he must be broiling in his thick fur coat"
Me: "Your cat isn't stupid. If he was that hot right now, he wouldn't be purposefully seeking the 12 inches of direct sunlight that happened when I opened the door to take the trash out."

So I got a 40+ year old snowblower for free off a local neighborhood group. The gifted gave me a quick run down on how to get it going, fuel it up and such, but I like having a manual. The only user manual I can find is in Finnish. I'm using AI for the first time ever in an attempt to translate it.

If i tell the cat to go take a shower for me, and she starts grooming, does that count as her doing what I said?

Few things are more frustrating than getting home from grocery shopping, getting everything put away, then taking off your shoes and putting on comfy pants... and as you settle in to relax you get a text that your prescriptions are ready for pick up 🤬

Is there anything more happy and smug than a cat all cozy on the tablet you need?

Today, I somehow injured myself by walking up the basement stairs. Didn't fall, didn't twist anything,was only carrying tow cans of beer, just took a damn step and it felt like someone twisted a knife in my ankle. Awesome.

The mourning doves decided this wasn't a great place for a nest once I cranked the window open and all three cats were nose to screen the rest of the day.

Milo's making a great argument for mounting the TV on the wall and getting a much lower stand for all the currently attached devices...

I wanted to make enchiladas for dinner, but realized I needed a bunch of ingredients and didn't feel like running to the grocery store. So, instead, I'm making a complicated bread recipe and totally from scratch (including the broth) soup 🤦‍♀️ I'm beginning to think I made the wrong decision 🤣

Note to self: do not hide Unreal brand coconut chocolate bars in the freezer, because, unlike mounds, they freeze solid.

Horror stories of living dairy-free: my husband's Easter basket Reese's peanut butter eggs are calling my name... I know it's not worth the future pain, but my willpower is beginning to falter. I think I have some coconut chocolate bars hidden somewhere that might take thebdge off... I hope.

Why do you have to hurt me like this? I don't even know you! BP is looking good, and cholesterol is better than last year, by the way 🤣

When you have a deep painful bruise on your hip/butt, sitting on the toilet is very unpleasant. Granted, sitting anywhere is not comfortable, but at least I can usually sit on a cushion elsewhere.

Milo is silly. And also a bit pudgy - it was a tight squeeze for him to get through one of the smaller holes earlier. He's still having a blast with the Ripple Rug, though.

The kitty tunnel has been pur away and the Ripple Rug has come back out of the closet. It's new and exciting again.

Of course the kitties had to inspect as we decided the best course of action for installing the new window (this is the ugly inside of the door - I just did a quick slap on of the off white it's going to be so I didn't have to tape around the lock, knob, and window when I got around to finishing it)
