I guess I just don’t see how this will ultimately move the needle much. It’ll pass the house, maybe get through the senate filibuster…but he’ll veto it in the end. Unless the republicans are willing to finally dump him and override the veto he’ll just be able to keep BS’ing this away.

Honestly at this point while I’m not a fan of the pain it would cause part of me wants to see the Rs destroy ACA. The backlash and mandate could be enough to enact single payer in 28. Then again I don’t feel like senate dems would have the guts to do it anyway so I’m torn.

Absolutely. A 50 year mortgage effectively ends the incentive to buy unless you’re doing an all cash deal. Why pay for the associated upkeep and maintenance if you aren’t building equity? The only people buying would be investors and corporate owners.
