Like, on one hand, nobody wants to be the villain in a memoir. On the other, you've made no impact on a person who writes about literally everything and everyone who does. Ouch. Either way. Ouch.

Food is one of the equalizers in life. We all need it. SHUT THE FUCK UP AND FEED PEOPLE should be the battle cry of literally everyone bent towards human rights and justice.

I used to be an activist in the splashy organizer sense, but for the last 7 years or so, I've done food justice work. By this I mean: I cook for organizations that give food to anybody who wants it. No questions asked. No need for religion. No need for political affiliation. Just feeding anyone.

Literally the only political party I would join.

I *think* (because I can't really fathom) people use gen AI because they think the real reward of the work is publication and fame. Poor fools. Publication is a minor event in the life of a book. Fame is fleeting if there at all for most writers. You're missing out on the good stuff.

Being a writer has enriched my life in so many intangible ways. It's not just the writing. It's the research, the struggling in community to finish your work, the literal dreaming about your characters, and so much more. Generative AI robs you of so much, even more than the authors it steals from.

You can write a book w/ generative AI, but you'll never go urban exploring to find a setting, take a job on a mountaintop to finish your book, go to GreenWood Cemetery to find Basquiat's grave, or any number of experiences I had while writing my first book that I wouldn't trade for the world.

Idk. Maybe life is just a mirrored hall of people looking down on each other from varied perspectives.

Thinking about my rich exes and all the friction caused by being from different classes. There's a piece of writing in there, if "Common People" and Saltburn didn't already say it well enough.

I mean, there's probably plenty of reasons people think I'm stupid, but many boil down to the fact that I am just a fucking idealist. I named myself a name that means "defender of mankind." I believe in inherent goodness.

Sometimes I think people think I'm stupid because I reserve judgement about people until they show who they truly are. I would prefer this to living any other way, even though it means my heart gets broken by just about everyone.

It’s way over my head, but I guess one of the ways you can identify AI music is that it embodies no one space, even an imagined one.

It’s basically (I think!) imaging the space sound comes from as physical space. I can’t tell you much about the mechanics of creating it, but I guess just imagining every song as coming from something like a studio, even if it doesn’t? Bass player here, guitar player there, mics here here and here?

(I don't know if it's actually called "sonic space," but it's the idea that every piece of music exists in a physical space)
