Newly emerged (teneral) male common darter by my pond this morning. Wings silvery as they are soft and need the sun to harden. The colour will quickly change to red over the next day or so.

An oak with up to 80 humans for scale
This is the largest ever recorded oak with a photographic history. The girth at 5 foot was 57 feet when this photo was taken with what appears to be the whole Austro-Hungarian Army in 1887
It is the Imperial Oak (Carski Hrast) - Rankovici, Bosnia & Herzegovina
