And then you watch the video, where a reporter asks a question, and the "owned" person replies, "STFU I don't care", and that's *it*.

These words don’t mean what everyone seems to think they mean (mildly rebuked, somewhat taken to task, and a little bit shown for a fool, respectively, if posts and YouTube videos are any sort of guide).

A sticky note on a cake display which say “marble cake is no longer”. That’s the whole thing. It literally ends there. It’s not like some of the sticky note is behind something and blocks the final word “available” or something. It just says, in total, that marble cake is no longer.

This seems an oddly aggressive way to say you no longer do marble cake…

“But what about marble cake? Huh? Where is it, damnit!”

Does it summarize? Yes.

But it does so by vacillating between the extremes, so much so it's useless.

Me: “Why? What happened? Did I hit you? Did I snort coke or something and don’t remember? Did I jam my whole hand up there digging for gold? Why the hell are you bleeding?”

i am always starting the same thing. not because the last time i started i did it wrong but because the long works need to start again and again.

So many things (like novels) aren't a path ever forward. They're circles. You start, and you come back to the place where you start. You see what I mean?

Depending on what prompt you start with, the starting peg may be different.

But this is all it is. Each peg is a weighted percent likelihood of a certain word. A “token”.

If you put sticky notes with words on each peg (using statistics) , an used a bajillion pegs, you could literally simulate LLM.

This is how LLMs work.

Each peg is a possible next word. The disc is what’s typed next.

1) Windows 95/98 had a better UI than anything before or since.

Simple visual language.

High contrast.

Simple even for non-techs to use.

Settings all in one area.

One never clicked the wrong window because they didn’t all blend together.

Every UI since has strayed farther from the perfect.

Honestly, just the knowledge of what lead does to the brain.

I think we can say that the younger, most vile emperors who did the worst things tended to drink early and often, and the wine was held in lead containers.

I’d bet young minds + power + lead might explain the worst excesses.
