04.08.2025 23:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0People will be like "The tore his head off, folded him inside-out like a bad sock, and unleashed 50 rutting bulls on his still-warm corpse!!11111"
And then you watch the video, where a reporter asks a question, and the "owned" person replies, "STFU I don't care", and that's *it*.
Takedown, owned, destroyedโฆ
These words donโt mean what everyone seems to think they mean (mildly rebuked, somewhat taken to task, and a little bit shown for a fool, respectively, if posts and YouTube videos are any sort of guide).
I just looked at the reviews. Iโm sorry you had to suffer through that and that whatever sins you were paying for from a past life are now forgiven.
I almost watched it tonight but chose the Accountant instead, so I dodged a bullet.
So you are saying itโs a spectacle, a movie which left you on the edge of your seat (as you tried to slide off and into the void), and it should most certainly be considered for an award (*cough* Razzie *cough*)?
04.08.2025 03:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Here's a lovely photo of a plethora of my fabric art creatures. They're on green fur with a galaxy print fabric in the background. There's a black cosmic moth with a gray face, twinkly red eyes, and a wide smile full of sharp teeth. She's covered with embroidered stars and planets of various sizes and colors. There's a watermelon ghost covered with embroidered pink flowers sitting on a pink wire chair. There's a watermelon ghost bag and a small homunculus sitting on a pink and green striped chair. There's a tooth creature with a wide open mouth and four orange eyes and lavender eyeshadow. There's a black phantom with a gray face and wisps of every color of the rainbow.
Hey Bluesky, could you help me spread the word about my Big Cartel shop? A sale or two would be a colossal help.
All of my creations are designed, hand-sewn, hand-embroidered by me. Each takes many hours to make.

A sticky note on a cake display which say โmarble cake is no longerโ. Thatโs the whole thing. It literally ends there. Itโs not like some of the sticky note is behind something and blocks the final word โavailableโ or something. It just says, in total, that marble cake is no longer.
This seems an oddly aggressive way to say you no longer do marble cakeโฆ
โBut what about marble cake? Huh? Where is it, damnit!โ
Tony โCakemurderโ Spinelli leaned close. โMarble cake is no longer.โ
This is a *superb* way to put it. โItโs hard to separate written text from communication and cognition. Weโve never had to do that before.โ

Amazon's "AI summary" of product reviews shows *exactly* *precisely* the issues with LLM.
Does it summarize? Yes.
But it does so by vacillating between the extremes, so much so it's useless.
"Some find the build quality great, others think it's terrible."
So helpful, thanks.
Hey, your dog broke. Might have to factory-reset to get the poor bugger unfolded.

My novella We Who Hunt Alexanders is now out in the world. To all the people named Alex and Alexander who expressed concerns on if the monsters in my book would be hunting them down, I want to officially state there's no reason to worry. 1/ www.apexbookcompany.com/products/we-...

I have 5 monitors full of graphical displays and maybe some HTML shown as โcodeโ

Me: โWhy? What happened? Did I hit you? Did I snort coke or something and donโt remember? Did I jam my whole hand up there digging for gold? Why the hell are you bleeding?โ
My nose: โThe air.โ
Me: โWhat?โ
My nose: โThe air. I donโt like it.โ

i am always starting the same thing. not because the last time i started i did it wrong but because the long works need to start again and again.
So many things (like novels) aren't a path ever forward. They're circles. You start, and you come back to the place where you start. You see what I mean?
Do not make decisions with the plinko machine.
Do not take advise from the plinko machine.
Do not think the plinko machine has some kind of intelligence.
Itโs a carnival game.
One may as well ask the โstrength tester hammer bellโ thing at a carnival a question while youโre at it.
Depending on what prompt you start with, the starting peg may be different.
But this is all it is. Each peg is a weighted percent likelihood of a certain word. A โtokenโ.
If you put sticky notes with words on each peg (using statistics) , an used a bajillion pegs, you could literally simulate LLM.
ChatGPT and the rest are, honestly and truly, black-box, expensive, plinko games.
Ever seen a plinko machine? Disc goes into the top, bounces down between ever more pegs in a sort of pyramid shape?
This is how LLMs work.
Each peg is a possible next word. The disc is whatโs typed next.

Simple visual language.
High contrast.
Simple even for non-techs to use.
Settings all in one area.
One never clicked the wrong window because they didnโt all blend together.
Every UI since has strayed farther from the perfect.
Honestly, just the knowledge of what lead does to the brain.
I think we can say that the younger, most vile emperors who did the worst things tended to drink early and often, and the wine was held in lead containers.
Iโd bet young minds + power + lead might explain the worst excesses.
