Just finished reading ‘I Who Have Never Known Men’.

Yeah I love physical books but I’m running out of space and this does have such ease of use. I really hope bookstores stay open but know I’m not helping!

…and apparently there was one guy who was non-verbal for 20 years but spoke to Cameron/Sid like a best friend. The ferret died after a few years from a tumour and they held a funeral and have a little plaque there to this day remembering him. Didn’t realise how much good giving him away would cause!

Cameron had a funny story in the end. I couldn’t look after him properly in a flat so my mum’s friend adopted him as a social pet for those who are detained indefinitely at a mental health hospital up north. They changed his name to Sid as Cameron was too middle class…
