So - who knows what the heck is going on in Venezuela?

Because it’s a big hole in my geopolitical understanding and - on the one hand - Trump didn’t get the prize he wanted, but - on the other hand - I’m not clear whether this selection was a dis to him or a backhanded HT.

The thing to remember about any of these variations is that they taste pretty mild, but they’re actually anything from 75ml to 100ml pure spirits, so - y’know - drink responsibly, bandits!

If Cream Soda is not your thing, this also works well with Ginger Beer - and if you’re feeling fancy you can stir with a lemongrass stalk/frond/wodge.

Though when I do that I swap out the Triple Sec for The King’s Ginger, or similar, which takes it even further from the original recipe.

Recipe:

15ml each (or 20ml each if you’ve had a bad week)of:
- Light Rum
- Vodka
- Tequila
- Gin
- Triple Sec
- 30ml lemon juice
- 15ml sugar syrup (or less, depending on the sweetness of your soda)

Fill a highball glass with ice, stir in all the above, then top with cream soda + a lemon slice.

I would be a fan of Long Island Iced Tea, but for the fact that I loathe cola.

So here's broadly the same drink, but made with Vanilla Cream Soda instead.
