Well this is despicable. And Iβm sure DHS made sure to get everyoneβs consent to have their likenesses featured in a (probably illegally politicized) state-sponsored video.

If these changes upset you, it's important to communicate it to the agency. Send detailed and constructive feedback their way (specifics they can document -- and they will), but don't give them your frustration.
Save that for your county fiscal court commissioners. They set TANK's budget.
As a former transit agency spokesperson, I can attest: This was always the worst message to have to deliver. The difficulty of communicating, as in the case of the shuttle, a fare increase accompanied by a service decrease cannot be overstated.
25.03.2025 12:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0TANK announced the plans back in January after public input sessions. More details are here: www.tankbus.org/tank-service...
25.03.2025 12:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The other, bigger change: All fares system-wide -- including the once-$1 SBS -- are now $2. Formerly, all fixed-route local service was $1.50. The $2 fare now matches TANK's 2X Airporter route and Metro's local bus service across the river in Cincinnati/Hamilton County.
25.03.2025 12:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0**Anecdotally**, from both bus operators and other riders, Fountain Square was a hugely popular destination, esp. on weekdays for Downtown workers taking advantage of NKY's generally cheaper parking and shuttling across the river.
25.03.2025 12:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A blue, yellow and white old-fashioned trolley-style bus sits at a downtown Cincinnati curb in front of a street-side tree and a building fascia of all-glass windows. Text on the side of the bus reads: "Southbank Shuttle; www.tankbus.org; Bellevue-Cincinnati-Covington-Newport."
Among a handful of route eliminations and updates, maybe most notable... The Southbank Shuttle has stopped service to Fountain Square (it will now only run along 2nd/3rd streets while crossing between Newport and Covington).

πͺ‘ Meant to post about this last week but life got in the way... TANK bus π service in Northern Kentucky and downtown Cincinnati implemented route changes AND a planned fare increase over the weekend. Here are details:
