Don’t forget that Jared Kushner’s working group, as part of Trump’s first Administration, decided that it was politically worth it to abandon urbanised blue states and cities to COVID. It was felt that the increased mortality in blue areas was an advantageous political strategy.

Remember when it was a scandal that the President’s son, who had never been in the administration, had a history of substance abuse and foreign consulting?

Perhaps applying similar conduct standards to this administration would be appropriate.

What I wonder is why Bezos has been so determined to bend the WaPo’s editorial line. Why is he so keen to align himself with Trump? Or is Bezos simply trying to advocate for tech bro corporate government?

The article is an excellent example of manipulation by omission.

Can you say whether in Federal Law that primary legislation does or does not override investigative immunity?

After all Congress has spoken on a specific issue. Where does the investigative immunity privilege come from?

This is sickening.

More concerning is that someone who aspired to a role in government doesn’t realise that he has compromised himself.

Has he not read CS Lewis’s The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe? Is the Turkish Delight that compelling?

Meanwhile I’ll stick with Aristotle.

To say of what is that it is not, or of what is not that it is, is false, while to say of what is that it is, and of what is not that it is not, is true

It’s not even rational. The Mango Malignity has said he threw Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago for β€˜poaching’ the staff.

As junior programmers are told: never type anything into development or test that you would not be happy to see on live. (There are documented cases of lost jobs when 'humour' became too public.)

I was a touch more technical than you.

Since at least 1988 (when I was told) one should assume that any email sent across the net is essentially public without additional precautions such as encryption.

These computer systems are built to never forget. You cannot recover an email once sent.

I'm looking at the data from Nov-12 on Congress Web Site with the data actually stored in Google Drive.

There appear to be some emails but the headers are severely truncated. Does anyone know where the full headers are?

Did no one ever tell her that there is a duty to disclose exculpatory evidence to the jury?

Did no one tell her that she must comply with the judge’s document orders?

The only question is incompetence or malice.

After being jailed the jury foreman sought a habeas corpus order. Bushel’s case, as it is known, led to a ruling by the Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas that a jury could not be punished for returning a verdict unless separate misconduct was found.

Okay? Simple legal history.

I’m beginning to wonder if some of Trump’s chosen lawyers got full value for their law school fees.

Jury discretion is heavily protected. Back in 1670 a judge attempted to jail a jury until they returned a verdict that would satisfy the case judge.

There is already a precedent for dealing with ambassadors involved in the Epstein scandal. Peter Mandelson was recalled and dismissed his post for writing to Epstein.

Barrack appears to be mired in far fouler ordure. What will happen to him?

punishment but his reputation would have been seriously damaged and Barrack would not have been able to work in the diplomatic or national security areas again.

But this is the Trump Regime.

WTF?

This guy was investigated and charged with acting for a foreign government. This was the Emiratis with a brief to work on the 2016 Presidential Election. He was later acquitted.

Nonetheless an acquittal does not imply full exoneration. Historically someone like Barrack would have escaped …

And that Americans joined with foreigners to undermine their democratic institutions?
