A few meteors from the Perseid shower over the red-roofed hut at Rye Harbour nature reserve

I tried photographing Perseid meteors for the first time last year. I love how some are different colours according to the varied chemical elements in each meteor.

This year, I will try the Geminids instead. There's nothing better than standing on a beach for hours in the middle of December... 😄

Pumas in southern Chile

We have been on the lookout for cats here in Brazil, and that includes pumas… but they’re much less likely to be seen with the jaguars around.

This puma family was photographed a couple months ago in a different part of South America during my Patagonia tour.
