After a bit of a gig drought, went to see Black Country New Road in Dundee. Hard to pigeon hole their music. Jazz-Folk? Impressed by the audience singing along, they've built an impressive following

Sparkling water from Loch Ness where the sparkle is created by the motion of the monster. In other words.... it's flat!

Great album. Always loved it.

It was the same thing with the ARW live album. The crowd noise was not from the crowd that were in the audience, watching the show. Once you became aware of that it spoiled the experience a bit. So I guess this video is from that same production.

Saw them in Edinburgh. Excellent gig and I agree about Awaken.

Saw Rush 3 times always in gigantic terrible venues (O2 Millennium Dome). Have seen this tribute band 4 times now. You're going to love them.

If you have a problem with illegal migration, making legal migration more difficult and complicated isn't going to help. Surely it's going to push things the wrong way

What George Lucas got right about the original trilogy, but has never managed to replicate since, is that I was a little kid when those came out

There's always a counterpart. In the town where I currently live there's not only a Back Lebanon, but a Front Lebanon as well. Doesn't bear thinking about one without the other.

Interesting to consider what other books always fly out as soon as they come in. I guess Alice's Adventures in Wonderland might be another?

Absolutely. It's unfortunate that it was necessary to clarify the legal position of women, which should never have been a question. Time to turn our attention to the real inequalities facing women in medicine, employment and almost every sphere of life

Today I'm reminded of the old Nursery Rhyme

Oh the Grand Old Duke of York
He had 12 million quid
He gave it to someone he never met
For something he never did.

Just realised I don't have tickets to see them this year. I was holding off in case Beat or Band Geeks came over to the UK, but there seems no chance of that at the moment.
